The CREONTE Special

What is a CREONTE?

The term Creonte originated within Brazilian jiu-jitsu organizations in Brazil to refer to a former student who is perceived to be disloyal, particularly one who had a long-standing and well-invested relationship with their academy. The expression is used pejoratively, and has drawn comparisons to the English word traitor.

At Grappling Education we don’t believe in the idea of a Creonte, and we encourage all of our students to train at as many different gyms as then can, every Jiu-Jitsu fighter has something unique that they can offer, and we hope that by training with as many people as possible our students are able to gain a greater wealth of knowledge.

This concept goes two ways if visitors come to our school, they bring with them something new and a different fresh game. We also understand how expensive Jiu-Jitsu can be, especially if you start training at multiple gyms. So for athletes that can show us and provide proof that they already have an active membership at a BJJ school we will be offering membership at 50% off the monthly rate.

To clarify we expect all students on this special to continue training at their main BJJ School, and to fight for their own team. The main motive behind this special is to provide an environment that allows athletes to train with a diverse and mixed range of people.
