What to Expect
We recommend that you show up for class 15 minutes before the scheduled time as the class will start on time.
After lining up for practice the instructor will take you through a warm up, a series of exercises that relate to jiu-jitsu specific skills, don’t underestimate the power of a good warm up, as you continue on your jiu-jitsu journey you will soon understand how important and vital the basic skill that you learn are!
Whilst the warm up in each class may be similar… the techniques are always different, there is so much to learn, and even after 4 months you will have only scraped the surface of Grappling Educations Jiu-Jitsu Program.
Jiu-Jitsu and all forms of grappling are excellent forms of exercise. Socrates once quoted “I swear it upon Zeus an outstanding runner cannot be the equal of an average wrestler.” At the end of a class you will have a much better understanding of this quote, you will be physically tired…. But your mind will be stimulated and focused!
As with all exercise, it is important that you ease yourself into it and going at a pace you know your body will be comfortable with. There are so many different styles of classes that you can come back to a different class the next day! Don't forget you can train as many times as you want, on any of our memberships.
